Timothy Michael Ryan, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 4, 2024, at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts, after a long and brave fight. He was born on February 21, 1949 in Concord, New Hampshire. He grew up in Tewksbury, Massachusetts then later raised a family in Townsend, Massachusetts with his former wife, Sarah Brunelle. He also resided in Leesburg, Florida before returning home to Massachusetts to be with loved ones.
Tim's personality radiated strength, warmth, and kindness. Among our fond memories he will be remembered for his playful nature, charming wit, and warm smiles. It was common for him to bestow endearing nicknames to loved ones as well as to brief acquaintances. He deeply cherished and loved his family, which was evident in the pride and the love he felt for his daughters.
He leaves behind his two daughters Julie Anne Ryan and Amy Beth Shea, as well as his son-in-law Kevin Shea. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Aubrey Elizabeth Ryan, Kyleigh Maeve Shea, and Aiden Ryan Shea, as well as his great-grandchildren Sawyer Wayne Goben and Waylon Brooks Goben. Tim is also survived by his loving brother Francis Ryan, his loving sister Valerie Carr, and brother-in-law Kevin Carr.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents Francis and Laura Ryan, as well as his siblings Raoul Ryan and Anna Huggins-Brown.
Tim successfully owned his own business where he specialized in installing carpet; a testament to his hard work ethic and determination. He served as a proud veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War as a Military Policeman in Germany. His military service is just one example and testament to his character, bravery, and resilience.
He took pride in being a golf pro and found joy in various hobbies including fishing, Western shows and movies, being an avid fan of the Patriots, and collecting sports memorabilia. He treasured the time spent with his dear friend Phyllis Jewett and most importantly spending time and being surrounded by his loving family.
In his final moments as well as throughout his life Timothy was deeply loved, comforted, and embraced by his daughters Julie and Amy.
His bravery and determination will forever be an inspiration and a great pride to his family. His loving spirit, brave heart, and unwavering strength will live on in all who knew him. He is forever loved and held in our warm embrace; living on within our hearts and memories forever.
He will be honored and laid to rest at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon, Massachusetts and a celebration of life will also be held in his honor at a later date. Event dates and times will be announced personally to Tim’s family and friends.
