Steven Wayne Dougan, born on October 18, 1971, in Worcester, Massachusetts, departed this life on March 4, 2025, in the same beloved city. He was surrounded by his loving family, which brought him comfort in his final moments. Steven’s journey through life was marked by passion, resilience, and a genuine love for those around him.
A proud graduate of Burncoat High School in 1989, he embraced a career as a car salesman and auto detailer, where his enthusiasm for cars and his keen attention to detail stood out. Steven found joy in his work and took pride in each vehicle he sold and detailed. His zest for life was apparent in everything he did, including his unwavering love for street bikes and racing.
Memories of Steven will forever be cherished by those who knew him best. He had an undeniable gift for bringing laughter into every room, ensuring that there was never a dull moment when he was around. His selfless nature shone brightly through his generous spirit and caring heart. He was always one to share a kind word or lend a hand, making those around him feel valued and loved. During the holidays, he particularly enjoyed cooking for his family, showcasing his culinary skills with meals that were loved by all. It was a joy to gather around the table, sharing not just food but laughter and stories, often accompanied by his favorite orange soda.
Steven's interests extended beyond his career; he found pleasure in shopping for new sneakers and keeping up with the latest movie releases. Yet, perhaps his greatest joy came from spending time with his youngest child, Ryan, creating precious memories that would last a lifetime.
Despite the health challenges that plagued him in recent years—leaving him unable to walk—Steven’s spirit remained unbroken. He faced each struggle with unwavering hope, inspiring those around him with his determination. Unfortunately, his health deteriorated to a point beyond recovery, but he passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
Steven is survived by his mother, Patricia Dougan; his step-father, Donald Briand; his brother, Andrew Briand; his children: Kailee Dougan, Ryan Dougan, and Ashley Gallant; his grandchildren: Brody, Kylee, Rylee, Nova, and Astro; and Cynthia Gallant, Ryan's mother. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Clinton Dougan.
As the family reflects on their time with Steven, they are grateful for the love and laughter he brought into their lives, and they will hold his memory dear to their hearts. His legacy will live on through each story shared, every laugh remembered, and the love that he so freely gave.
