Roland Leo Shackett, Jr

On March 6, 2025, Roland L. Shackett Jr., 60, passed away from a heart attack at Worcester, Massachusetts Umass Memorial Hospital. He also suffered from schizophrenia disease for many years. 

He was the son of Barbara Oliver-Shackett and Roland L. Shackett Sr., and was born in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Roland loved going to casinos, listening to music, fishing, and going on road trips and deliveries with his best friend John Coakley. We will remember him for being helpful and having an easygoing demeanor. In addition to several nieces and nephews, he is survived by his siblings, Gerry Shackett Nelson of Cherry Valley, Massachusetts; Bernadette Shackett Lewis of Worcester, Massachusetts; Leon Shackett and his wife Kelly Thomas of Worcester ,Massachusetts in which who he lived with, Colleen Shackett Kotowski of Mount Morris, Michigan; Shirley Shackett Szkalrz and her husband Steven Szklarz of Flint, Michigan; and Christine Shackett Robinson and her husband John Robinson of Flint, Michigan. 

Roland also worked in factories, Convenient stores and gas stations throughout Worcester county. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Roland and Barbara Shackett of Worcester, MA, his sister Dorothy Shackett of Worcester, MA, and Catherine Shackett Courville of Spencer, MA.

Roland will be loved and deeply missed by his friends and family.
