With profound sorrow, we mourn the passing of Robert F. Goodwin, who departed this life on October 23, 2024, in Auburn, Massachusetts. Born on July 9, 1944, in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Robert was the cherished son of Dorothy Ann Palmer (Goodwin) and Stanley Goodwin. He grew up in the nurturing environment of Westborough, surrounded by his loving siblings: Richard (Virgilia) Goodwin, Linda (Matt) Broderick, and Dennis (Judi) Goodwin.
Robert dedicated two decades of his life to serving his country in the United States Air Force, a commitment that exemplified his sense of duty and honor. In 1984, he retired from military service and returned to Massachusetts, where he continued to serve his community as a building complex maintenance manager.
In his personal life, Robert experienced both love and loss. He was divorced from Wet Srisombul, who sadly passed away on April 16, 1997. Yet, his heart remained open, and he found joy in his later years living with his beloved daughter, Judy (Goodwin) Barry, and her children, Cody and Brandy Barry. It was in this cherished home that he embraced the role of great-grandfather to Hunter Barry Leclair, a title he wore with pride.
Robert will be fondly remembered for his unwavering kindness and generosity. His compassionate spirit touched the lives of many, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, support, and warmth. As we celebrate the life of this gentle soul, we find solace in the memories of his caring nature and the profound impact he had on the lives he touched. Robert F. Goodwin will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
