Peter Paul Deneault, Sr., affectionately known as Pete, passed away on March 6, 2025, at St. Vincent's Hospital. Born on May 18, 1961, in Worcester, Pete's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with friendship, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the things he loved.
Throughout his life, Pete was known for making friends wherever he went, his charisma drawing people into his orbit. He had a zest for life that was reflected in his hobbies and passions. Pete found joy in playing Pitch, a game he excelled at, having won multiple tournaments at Spencer Fish & Game. His love for skulls and dragons showcased a fun and spirited side to his personality, one that shone particularly bright during gatherings and events.
Pete's laughter was infectious, and those who knew him fondly recall how he brought joy to any situation. His remarkable ability to connect with others was enhanced by the support of his friend Joe, who ensured that Pete could always partake in various activities by providing handicap equipment, allowing his spirit to illuminate the lives of those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra, and three sons from a previous marriage: James, Peter Jr., and Derek. Additionally, he embraced a step-son, Earl Grant, and formed cherished bonds with Debra's children Joseph and wife Tamara, Patricia, Amanda, DJ, and Kathleen Rondeau. The joy in his life was further amplified by his role as a grandfather to five grandchildren: Ashley, Jamie, Mia, Dean, and Vincent, as well as two great-grandchildren, Jasper and Willow. He also adored Debra's nine granddaughters: Jadine, Kayleigh, Julianna, Nadia, Nikki, Ava, Alexia, Sara, and Joanne.
In addition to his immediate family, Pete leaves behind three brothers and four sisters who will carry his memory in their hearts. He was predeceased by his parents, James Deneault and Mary Simpson, along with two brothers and a sister.
A celebration of Pete's life will be held at a later date, a fitting tribute to a man whose legacy of laughter and friendship will continue to resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing him.
