Paul Normand Monty

Paul Normand Monty, 59, of Worcester, MA, formerly of New Bedford and Fairhaven, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his beloved family, after a period of declining health.

Paul was born in New Bedford, MA, on December 23, 1963, one of four children of the late Raymond Wilfred and Jacqueline Yvonne (Sirois) Monty. He was raised in Fairhaven and spent most of his life between New Bedford and Fairhaven, working as a commercial fisherman. He has resided in Worcester for the past year and a half. 

Paul was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his children and loved ones. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. 

Paul is survived by his wife and companion of over 19 years, Misty Lee (Stringer) Monty; his children, Paul Monty Jr. of Florida, Toby Monty, Amber Monty and Alexia Benique of Worcester, two brothers, Roland Monty and his wife Sonia of South Carolina and Dennis Monty and his wife Terry of New Bedford and a sister, Susan Houghton and her late husband Kenneth Houghton of New Bedford. And several nieces and nephews.

All services will be private. Comfort Cremation is honored to be assisting with the arrangements.
