Milagros (Berrios) Martinez

Milagros (Berrios) Martinez, 54, of Worcester, MA, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, surrounded by her loving family, after a period of declining health. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Carlos Martinez Rodriguez.

In addition to her husband Milagros is also survived by her two heartbroken children, her daughter, Luz Milagros Torres of Providence, RI, who she affectionately called “La Beba”and Angel Cintron of Worcester, who she also nicknamed, “Prieto” She also leaves her 10 siblings, Hipolita Berrios, Santos Berrios, Miguel Berrios, Marisol Berrios, Dolores Berrios, Alberto Berrios, Victor Berrios, Francisco Berrios, Antonio Berrios and Pedro Berrios; 7 grandchildren, Zully Huertas, Kyani Huertas, Miguel Huertas, Elbin Barrios, Emilzen Barrios Angel Cintron, Jr and Jaxiel Cintron; a great-grandchild, Zaily Huertas Sanchez and many nieces and nephews who she adored. 

Milagros was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, on October 2, 1968, one of 11 children of the late Francisco and Primitiva (Lebron) Berrios. She was raised in Juncos, Puerto Rico, where she resided until moving to Worcester, MA with her husband and children in 1999. 

Milagros was an avid domino player and also enjoyed dancing and listening to music. She had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes and make people laugh to brighten their day. She was a positive person with an infectious smile that she always kept, despite the circumstances. She was a truly selfless woman, who always put others before herself and God above all else. Milagros was an amazing cook and an even more amazing mother, grandmother and friend to all. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. 

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation and celebration of her life from 5-8pm, on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Comfort Cremation Funeral Home, 1027 Main St, Worcester, MA. The following day on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, friends and family will gather at the funeral home from 10am until 12pm and process to Hope Cemetery for a 12:30 pm Graveside Committal Service.
