Michael F. Peltier, a hardworking man who dedicated many years to working as a scrap metal salvager, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, May 9, 2024. He was born in Worcester, MA, on May 12, 1958.
Michael was raised in Worcester and attended high school there, laying the foundation for his future endeavors. Known for his gruff exterior and fierce protection of those he loved akin to a grizzly bear, those who knew him closely understood that beneath that exterior lay a heart of gold. Family meant everything to Michael, and he showed unwavering kindness and love to those closest to him.
In his leisure time, Michael found enjoyment in watching hunting and survival shows, as well as cherishing moments with his beloved dog and family. His warmth and passion for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his beloved companion of over 19 years, Debra A. Valois; daughters Jessica Murphy and Jennifer Gilbert; son Nicholas Valois; sisters Clarissa Peltier, Cindy Peltier, Joyce Peltier; niece Christine Peltier; nephew John Peltier; four grandchildren, and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Albert Peltier and mother Irma (Sweet) Peltier; brother Gary Tillison; brother, Albert Peltier, and sister, Darlene McClure;
A Visitation service to honor Michael's life will be held on May 14, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Comfort Cremation Funeral Home located at 1027 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603. The service will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together to celebrate the wonderful memories shared with Michael.
