Melissa Fajardo Miranda, age 54, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022, in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her family. She was born December 3rd, 1967, in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Jose Fajardo, Sr. and Ivette Santiago Fajardo. Melissa attended South High in Framingham and went on to serve in the Navy as E-4 Torpedoes Mate. She gained her Associate Degree and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Society of Fisher College in 1999. Later in life, Melissa worked for the Center for Living & Working as a Senior Accountant for 16 years, a job she took pride in and loved.
Melissa shared her life with her husband, Felix A. Miranda, her high school sweetheart whom she referred to as “Tony, my first love, my soulmate”. She was survived by her children, Krishonna R. Murray, Anthony I. Miranda, and Felix A. Miranda, Jr., whom she referred to as “my proudest jewels”; and her beloved granddaughter, Miranda L. Ashton-Murray, her “forever muñeca”. Melissa was a proud daughter, sister, and aunt, having always stated that her siblings meant the world to her and she was proud of her family’s accomplishments. Melissa was predeceased by her mother. Family describe Melissa as a light; inspiring, courageous, a wonderful wife, and devoted mother. She will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.
