Maureen Patricia Corcoran

June 6, 1965 — November 18, 2022

Maureen Patricia Corcoran lived life on her own terms. She was a devoted Aunt and Godmother. She loved Mister Rogers, Sesame Street, The Brady Bunch, and Christmas. For many years she made annual trips to the West Coast to spend extended visits with her sister Margaret and Marilyn’s families. Maureen rode the Amtrak train independently across the country, asking new friends on the train to play Uno and share a Bud Light.

Maureen came into this world as a fragile miracle baby, she was loved into health by the time and dedicated attention of her family. Open heart surgery as a young girl tested the family again, Maureen recovered and grew into a strong woman.

Maureen had many friends. For the past decade she was a daily visitor to the United Way’s Framingham Cafe at Park which she still called “The Army” with great affection. On weekends she was grateful for meals and fellowship at Grace House. For many years she spent so much time at Concord St. Dunkin Donuts that they let her stay to help clean and close. She stopped daily at MetroWest Credit Union and appreciated the staff there very much. Her phone store friends helped her with many (many) charging challenges. Anastasia’s Pizza crew were generous with French fries and friendly teasing. The One Stop was the center of Maureen’s day time walks around downtown.

Maureen had many pets over the years. Her current companions are a pair of parakeets named Maureen Jr. and Bluebird. She paid daily attention to her pets and always made sure they had treats and fresh water.

Maureen cherished the opportunity to say goodbye to her best friends Chris and Mauricio. She spent her last days surrounded and held by the love of her sisters.

Maureen was preceded in death by her mother Ruth V. Corcoran, her father John J. Corcoran, and her Godmother and Aunt Marie Walsh. Our family also lost too soon Maureen’s brother John J Corcoran Jr, sister Michelle L Corcoran, and nephew Timothy (TJ) Goodner.

Maureen is survived by her sisters Marilyn Gilman, Margaret White, Marion Corcoran, and Madeline O’Rawe and sister-in-law Catherine Corcoran, brother-in-law Clark Gilman, brother-in-law David White.
