Marie Gemma Erickson, born on November 17, 1945, in Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024, in Hampden, Massachusetts. A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother,'s  whose presence was a cherished gift to all who knew her.

Full of warmth and kindness, Marie dedicated her life to her family. Daughter of the late Albert and Marion Sheldon. She leaves behind her loving brother, Albert Sheldon Jr and her beloved children, Thomas, Christine, Denise, and Mindi. Enduring her legacy of love they share through countless memories. Her home was a sanctuary filled with laughter and joy, especially during family gatherings where stories were shared, and bonds were strengthened.

As a grandmother, Marie took immense pride in her grandchildren. She adored Adrienne, Tyler, Karissa, and Joey each one holding a special place in her heart. Her affection extended even further to her great-grandchildren: Noah, Cheyenne, and Louie, who brought her indescribable joy; the twinkle in her eye was brighter whenever they visited her.

Marie faced her later years with grace, even as she battled vascular dementia. Her spirit remained unbroken, a testament to her resilience and unwavering love for her family. She was a guiding light for them, imparting values of kindness and compassion that will continue to inspire generations.

The footprint that Marie left behind is deeply felt, filled with the love she exuded. Although her physical presence may be gone, her heart and soul will live on in the lives she touched. Her family and friends will forever hold her memories close, ensuring that her spirit remains alive in their actions, their stories, and the love that they carry forward.

As they navigate this profound loss, they take comfort in knowing that Marie Gemma Erickson was a remarkable woman who filled their lives with love, laughter, and truth. She may have left this world, but her spirit will forever intertwine with theirs, a reminder of the beautiful bond they share.

A celebration of life will be held at Tony & Penny's located at 18 Canterbury Street Ludlow, MA 01056 on Sunday, August 25th at 1:00pm. Friends and Family are welcome.
