Kevin Dennis Shea, born on August 23, 1955, in Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on January 16, 2025, at Baystate Medical after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Kevin was not just a cherished brother, uncle, and friend; he was a beacon of sweetness and compassion to all who knew him.

A dedicated and passionate professional, Kevin spent an impressive 30 years driving for Peter Pan Bus Lines. His love for the open road was rivaled only by his commitment to providing safe and friendly service to those traveling. Educated in the art of language, Kevin earned an Associate’s Degree in English from Springfield Technical Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree from American International College.

Kevin was a devoted family man, leaving behind his brothers, Dr. Peter Shea and his wife Jennifer (Foster) of Springfield MA and Stephen Shea of Wallingford, CT.  His nieces, Samantha Shea and Madison Tolman, along with his nephew, Kyle Shea, will forever carry with them the lessons of kindness and love that their uncle imparted.

To those who had the privilege of knowing him, Kevin was synonymous with warmth and generosity. He shared a special bond with his late wife, Theresa Wilds, and together they embraced their mutual love for animals, rescuing over twenty dogs during their time in Maryland. Kevin’s heart was as big as the world around him, filled with compassion for every creature he encountered.

He joins his father, Dennis Shea, his mother, Gloria (Peterson) Shea, his brother, Brian Shea, and sister, Tracy Shea Tolman, in eternal rest.

As we say goodbye to Kevin Dennis Shea, let us remember the sweet and caring heart that touched so many. His legacy lives on in our hearts as a constant reminder of the beauty of kindness and the importance of family, friendship, and love.

Family and friends are invited to join us on January 30, 2025 at 12 PM at Holy Cross Church- 221 Plumtree Road, Springfield, MA.
