Jorge Luis Cruz

Jorge Luis Cruz, passed away on July 8, 2024, in Worcester, MA at Saint Vincent Hospital. He was born on February 19, 1946, in Quamo, Puerto Rico, and later moved to Worcester in 1976.

Jorge was known for his exceptional work ethic and spent many years serving the community as a taxi driver before his well-deserved retirement. His passion for cars extended beyond his career, as he enjoyed working on and building his own vehicles. Jorge had a knack for humor and loved to entertain those around him with his jokes. Jorge also found joy in fishing and spending quality time with his family. His dedication to his loved ones was evident in everything he did.

Jorge Luis Cruz is survived by his beloved wife, Nereida (Robles) Cruz; his daughter, Jacqueline Pantoja; his son, Jorge L. Cruz, Jr.; his granddaughter, Janisa Borerro; as well as his great-grandchildren Jensis C. Fernandez and Novet I. Agapore. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Quintin Cruz Padilla, and his mother, Maria Luisa Garcia.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Jorge Luis Cruz will be held on July 20, 2024, at Comfort Cremation in Worcester, MA. The service will begin at 2:00 PM and conclude at 4:00 PM.

Jorge will be fondly remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and devotion that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing he was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
