John William Fitzpatrick (Fitzy)

John W. Fitzpatrick, (Fitzy) aged 65, passed away on Wednesday, July 17th, 2024 surrounded by those he considered family.  He was born on May 11th, 1959, in Marlborough, MA to his loving parents John Joseph Fitzpatrick and Evelyn Margaret Coady Fitzpatrick. John was a graduate of Assabet Technical High School in Marlborough, MA, where he excelled in appliance maintenance and held the esteemed position of class president for the graduating class of 1979.

For the past two decades, John dedicated his time and energy as a valued member of the Options Clubhouse community. He selflessly contributed his talents in the kitchen unit by preparing breakfast and lunch, mentoring new members, and providing assistance wherever needed. It was within the Clubhouse that John discovered a sense of belonging, forged meaningful friendships, and fulfilled his sense of purpose.

John's memory will forever hold a cherished place in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. He will be fondly remembered by his dear brother Edward Fitzpatrick, his cousins James & Marcia Duggan, Cathy Ball, Tom & Shelia Brecken, and Mike, Tim & Shawn Brecken along with his longtime friend Willam Martel. 

A funeral service to honor John's life will be conducted on August 6th, 2024 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception located at 11 Prospect Street in Marlborough, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in honor of John to Employment Options Inc. at 82 Brigham Street in Marlborough, MA 01752.

John's kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his community serve as a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
