Janet A. Roy

WORCESTER: Janet A. Roy, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2022 with her family by her side.  She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Ronald Roy of Worcester; her 2 sons: Michael Bedard and his wife Anne-Marie of Athol, Mark Bedard and his wife Tamara of Westminister; her daughter Jeanne Bedard of Baldwinville; her step-children: Ronald Roy and his wife Sandra of Sutton, Catherine Hagerty and her husband Andrew of NY, Christine Burnham of Worcester, Brian Roy of Taunton, Anne Hurtubise and her husband Scott of N. Oxford and Anthony Roy and his partner Don Pfeifer of CA; her grandchildren: Jeff Bedard and his wife Taren of CT, Jake Bedard of West Brookfield, Stephanie Lofland and her husband Gavin of Greenfield, Katelyn Crowley of Baldwinville, Amanda Camerano of NH, Stacey Johnston of Worcester, Laurynn Bedard of Westminster, Andrew Bedard of Westminster, Stephanie Burnham of CT, Armada Demeris and her husband George of N. Attleboro , Mackenzie Roy of Sutton, Keara Hagerty and husband Nick of NY and Owen Haggarty of NY; Nicole Richard of Webster; 13 great grandchildren and several loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Her sister Denise LeBlanc predeceased her.

Janet was born and raised in Fitchburg the daughter of the late Roger and Emma (Gaudet) Messier. She was a Supervisor at KMart for a number of years. She was the Office Manager for 140 units at the Joseph House in Fitchburg for 13 years before retiring.  She loved gardening, spending time at the beach and traveling with Ron.  They enjoyed taking vacations to all the Caribbean Islands having visited Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Aruba, St. Lucia and Cancun, Mexico just to name a few.  She was an active “Grammy” who loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  All who knew Janet will miss her dearly.
