Elizabeth Winifred “Winnie” St.Laurent (Armour), 87 passed peacefully at The Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester, MA on January 15, 2025 after a brief illness. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Joseph Paul St. Laurent of Worcester, MA, her daughters Nicole Moore of Andover, MA and Amy and spouse Jason Kupranowicz of Sturbridge, MA, and her grandsons Nicholas and Jacob Moore of Andover and Jonas and Desmond Kupranowicz of Sturbridge. She is pre-deceased by her beloved sister Rosemary McNamee of Kilmacolm, Scotland.

WIinnie was born in Jersey City, NJ and spent her childhood in Staten Island, NY and Rockport, MA. After her father’s passing the family relocated to Port Glasgow, Scotland to live with her maternal grandparents when she was in her early teens. She completed her education in Scotland and earned her certification to be an X-Ray Technician before returning to the US.

She met Paul on a blind date and they settled in Gloucester, MA where they raised their daughters and lived for over 30 years. Winnie eventually left healthcare and became a nanny for the Bertaux family in Beverly Farms, MA. She was a bonus grandmother to her cherished Bertaux girls.

Winnie kept her mind sharp by doing jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and matching wits with the contestants on the quiz show Jeopardy! She loved to travel and made many trips throughout the years including multiple cruises, trips to Europe, and a once in a lifetime trip to China.

Winnie lived a life filled with love, joy, and laughter and we will all miss laughing with her. The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at UMASS Memorial Hospital - University Campus and The Jewish Healthcare Center for their compassionate care. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
