Daniel Anthony Stearns

Daniel Anthony Stearns, aged 60, passed peacefully at his sister’s home in Worcester surrounded by those who loved him on August 21, 2024 after a short battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of music, love and cherished memories.

Dan grew up in Northborough, MA he loved nature, art and music. Dan was a gifted guitarist and composer, Dan found joy in creating and sharing his music with those he trusted enough to let hear it. 

Dan is survived by his sons Bryan A. Stearns of Eastham, MA and Oskar Ives Stearns of Trnava, Slovakia, his mother Toni Rodrigues of Alfred, Maine, his sister Dana Newton Carpenter and her husband Chad of Bahama, NC, his sister Denise Newton Parker of Worcester, MA and his Aunt Donna Rodrigues Wendt of Westminster, MA both of whom cared for him lovingly in his last weeks of life, and nieces Emma Parker, Chloe and Sophia Carpenter. 

There will be no formal service. Instead, those who knew him are invited to remember him in their own way and encouraged to love and listen to the people in their lives and those they meet along the way! May his memory serve as a reminder of the complexities of human existence.

 Rest in peace, Daniel Anthony Stearns. May you find the tranquility and understanding in death that frequently eluded you in life.
