1947 — 2025

Webster, MA

Clarence E. Magnant, Jr. 77 of Webster, MA, passed away at home on April 15, 2025. He was born on June 24, 1947, and was a 1965 graduate of Rock Castle High School in Webster, Ma. He was born in Webster and was predeceased by his father Clarence Magnant, Sr., his mother Mary Jane (Blanchette) Magnant, his brother Roger Magnant, his beautiful granddaughter Sydney and his lifelong companion and childhood sweetheart Sandra (Cassettari) Wright. He leaves his dedicated and caring son Dennis Magnant, his loving step-daughter Heather Wright, and four grandchildren; Felicity, Madison, Jack and Isabella (Izzy). Clarence was known by many friends and family who called him "Junior".  Junior led a remarkable life, leaving behind a memorable impact on the many friends he encountered throughout his journey. He dedicated over 50 years of his tradesman career as a building maintenance technician, a maintenance supervisor, and in his earlier years, as a building carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, tending to his yard work, smoking his pipe, finding "new treasures" at any local yard sale, and especially socializing with his friends, Tom, Mike, Ray, and Ann on a daily basis at The Coffee Snack & Tobacco Shack Store and talking with the entire crew at Honey Dew Donuts located inside the local Mobil gas station. His lifelong and close friends Al and Dottie will miss him as well. His family remained at the core of Junior's life. His adoration and love for his high school sweetheart Sandra Cassettari Wright was the love of his life for nearly 60 years. She predeceased him in death back in December of 2023. Junior was an amazing grandfather who loved and adored spending time with his granddaughter Izzy. From playing checkers with her, walking down his neighborhood road and collecting stones, visiting the Hot Dog Truck, eating soft serve ice cream from The Shack, watching their favorite cartoon "Tom & Jerry" or the auction show named "Storage Wars", building birdhouses together or simply planting his yearly tomato garden, his time was well spent with his granddaughter who adored him immensely. Those who knew Junior can recite many of his corny "dad jokes" or they can retell you any of his life stories that he loved to repeat numerous times. His love for animals was unwavering. From his horses growing up when he was a child, to his many pet dogs and cats, especially his recent cat Lilly, and he absolutely adored his son's two dogs Duff and Daphne. He also loved feeding the wild birds, raccoons and foxes which was part of his daily routine. Junior was a unique friend, a loving, devoted companion, a kindhearted, wonderful dad and a fun-loving, amazing grandfather. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.

Per Clarence's request, there will be no calling hours or burial Mass. Arrangements have been made under the care of Comfort Cremations.
